Meet Our Team
After years of designing high-end kitchens abroad, Julia and Phil saw an opportunity to bring the best of German manufacturing to Kiwi homes. In 2017, we launched Kitchen Designer Auckland - blending technical precision with local expertise to deliver kitchens that work beautifully for New Zealand families.
Today, our small team shares that same commitment to quality, detail and personal service. From first ideas to final handover, we’re by your side to create a kitchen you’ll enjoy for decades to come.

Client Success Stories: Hear What Our Clients Say
Exceptional in every aspect—design, accuracy, quality, and follow-up. A truly family-oriented business that builds as if for themselves. Highly recommended! Thank you.
Dr Abeer Alsammak
We love our new kitchen from Hacker, the new kitchen design has created much more space and we also have a lot more usable storage as the cabinetry/drawers are a better design than what we previously had.
Brian Woodward
I highly recommend having a chat to Hacker Kitchens if you’re thinking about redesigning your kitchen. They have an experienced team of designers and exceptional workmanship to match, with their designs tailored to your taste and lifestyle.

Our 9-Step Kitchen Design Process
Planning a new kitchen is exciting, but it’s a big project that can temporarily disrupt daily routines. That’s why at Auckland Kitchen Designers, we’re committed to making the entire journey smooth, clear and stress-free from start to finish.
Below is an overview of how we bring your dream kitchen to life in nine clear steps — from first ideas to final handover. If you have questions at any stage, our friendly team is here to help.
1. Share Your Vision
Start by visiting our Auckland showroom to chat with a designer about your ideas, wish-list and lifestyle. Allow at least an hour so we can understand exactly what you’re looking for in your new kitchen.
2. Site Check & Measurements
For kitchen renovations, we’ll visit your home to measure up. For new builds, we’ll create detailed design plans first and confirm final measurements later when the space is ready.
3. Design Concepts & Presentation
We develop a range of concepts inspired by your ideas — plus creative alternatives you might not have considered. We’ll present these in our showroom within 5–10 working days, ready for you to choose the perfect direction.
4. Final Proposal & Quote
Once you’re happy with the design, we’ll present options, confirm the details and provide your final quote. When everything’s agreed, we’ll prepare your project agreement so we can move ahead together.
5. Production Begins
After your deposit is received, your bespoke kitchen is produced in our world-class German factory. We’ll re-check your site measurements before final sign-off. Production and delivery typically take about 12 weeks.
6. Site Preparation
Before installation, your site needs to be ready — including plumbing, electrical and any structural prep. You can use your own contractors or we can recommend trusted local partners.
7. Professional Installation
Our trained kitchen installers assemble and fit your kitchen with precision. Installation usually takes 2–5 working days. Some benchtops may need an extra 10–15 working days to complete and fit perfectly.
8. Appliances & Services Connected
Qualified tradespeople connect your appliances, plumbing and gas. If you need help finding reliable professionals, we can connect you with our recommended network.
9. Finishing Touches & Handover
Finally, we carry out a detailed check and finishing touches to make sure everything meets our high standards. Then, we hand over your beautiful new kitchen — ready for you to enjoy!
